This digital painting was completed 22 May 2007. It is based on a photograph of a freehand sketch executed in blue, green, and black markers on a dry-erase board in a design studio classroom at Florida International University in February of 1988. Following a series of wildfires ravaging the State of Florida in May 2007, the original was transformed by the artist into the fantasy landscape pictured here.
