PETERHOF (PETRODVORETS): THE GREAT CASCADE, NO. 1
The Great Cascade at Peterhof is attributed to Peter the Great himself. The tsar's design concept was developed by architects Jean-Baptiste Le Blond and Niccolo Michetti, and during Peter's reign the grottos, balustrades, and some decorative elements were completed.
