ST. PETERSBURG: CHURCH ON THE SPILLED BLOOD
This dazzling church in traditional Russian Orthodox style was constructed to commemorate Tsar Alexander II, who was assasinated in 1881 when a bomb was exploded on the site. After years of painstaking restoration, the church has returned to its former splendor.
