MOSCOW, KREMLIN (VIRTUAL OUTDOOR TOUR): CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF THE ANNUNCIATION & CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Moscow, Kremlin (Virtual Outdoor Tour): Cathedral Church of the Annunciation and Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel

The Church of the Annunciation (left) was formerly the private chapel of tsars and princes. It boasts nine golden domes and frescoes depicting the Apocalypse. The sixteenth-century Church of St. Michael the Archangel (right) is decorated with striking shell-like tympana. Ivan the Terrible and Peter II are both buried here. Behind it the Ivan the Great Bell Tower peers majestically.
